Oh la la as the French say! Parisville by Tula Pink is gorgeous. All inspired by Marie Antoinette. The prints are fantastic and the colors even better. If you'd like to get a peek into Tula Pink's creative process from sketch to final product check out her blog here.

I've gone back to my quilting roots for the day and am getting this new quilt in Parisville by Tula Pink assembled. Let me tell you one thing. Not only is this fabric gorgeous (prints and color) but it feels absolutely amazing!! Back to my machine now...
I've been away for longer than I wanted but I've been busy getting a new Etsy shop going! I've been looking for something to keep my busy when I need a break from quilting and I've learned you need to be careful what you wish for:) But it's all good. Here is the result of one of my Cherrywood purchases at PIQF last weekend. I rushed home, pieced it fast and then my real and paying job got the better of me so I just got this quilted last night. Oh how I love these fabrics. I used two 8-step bundles (fat quarters) with the Meadow Blocks pattern from a fellow Etsian named Quiltville. It goes together super fast and I think it shows off the colors in a great way. I made a quilt using Cherrywood last year about this time for a friend and it was just a little difficult to give it away. I feel exactly the same about this one. But, I have another one cut out ready to piece in different colors. Maybe I'll keep that one for myself:) More pics are available in my Etsy shop.
I have about 10 or so destash items left and they are all packed up to go to new homes. So now I just want them out of my hallway. LOL Everything I have left is now marked 50% off the already very low prices in my Etsy shop. It's practically free...good time to stock up!
PIQF is in town - or at least reasonably close - and I took in some of the first day yesterday. It's my annual pilgrimage to buy Cherrywood Fabrics:) When I enter the vendor area I turn left and there they are in the first corner - like always. I'll keep my purchases secret until I have some finished work. Getting started on one today.
I took a few pics of quilts on display (with my Blackberry camera unfortunately) and wanted to share. Going back tomorrow with my real camera. More later.

Oops I did it again. Filled up two medium flat rate boxes FULL of Christmas and Fall fabric. And it's just for one of you. Same as last night. I only took one photo of the Christmas. First thing that went into the box was this 4 yard cut of Woodland Splendor 2 - a gorgeous metallic print. I'm almost done so it's almost time. LOL I'll be a busy beaver tidying up loose ends and packing up the final of my destash selections. I thought I 'd share some of the questions I've been getting and share one last preview before the big day.
Q. Are you getting out of the quilting business?
A. No way! Trust me, I won't be short of fabrics even after selling all of these.
Q. These are so pretty. Are you really getting rid of them?
A. Yes! I think all my fabrics are pretty. I think most fabric is pretty. LOL That's how I got where I am today. I have TOO much pretty fabric. Couldn't possibly use it up in years and years.
Q. Can you really stop buying more fabric?
A. Probably not. Actually, no. I won't be able to stop:)
