Today I am cheating and have listed more than one scrap bag! (Boy, it feels good cleaning out...making room for new stuff. LOL) If you've wanted to work with Cherrywood fabrics here is a great chance with some great colors. The Michael Miller Whimsy is blue and green is so fun! So I decided to list one more today. A Fall sampler...same deal...$20 in my Etsy shop. Here are my leftover pieces from a number of fall quilts and pillow covers. There are some great pieces of my most popular Fall Leaf pillows called Lindsay from Timeless Treasures and now out of print. There are also 10 orphan layer cake squares from Moda's Fabulous Fall collection with 7 coordinating jelly roll strips an some good size coordinating pieces. A few 5 inch charms. I have declared here before that I am NOT a scrappy quilter. Not even close. Yet I use some fabulous fabrics and I always end up with some equally fabulous scraps. So every day for the next week starting today I am listing a $20 scrap bag in my Etsy shop. Got to make room for all the new stuff coming in...wait, I'm not supposed to be buying more!! Oh well.
First up are all the great pieces left over from my 3 Poppy by Laura Gunn quilts. Lots of big pieces including 2 pieces larger than half a yard. Great deal. Stay tuned all week for some great deals.
I'm back from my last mini-holiday of the summer. (By the way, I stopped reporting when I was leaving due to stories about people being robbed!). I visited a girlfriend in Palm Desert for 5 days and if you want hot that's where you go in August. Actually it was a little too hot:) Got back in time for a relaxing weekend before the work week started again. Spent the day Saturday in Napa in wine country...driving between wineries, sampling some great wines and taking in a terrific lunch. We're kind of spoiled. I tend to forget that people from all over the world plan their vacations to be here and if we feel like popping in for lunch on any given day we can do that!
This is my first vacation time in awhile without major sewing and/or quilting but managed to get this pieced and quilted Sunday and Monday evening. I just love the backing fabric (Big Poppy from the Laura Gunn Poppy line). More pics available in my Etsy shop!
